LINEN

Linen is made from the fibres of the flax plant and is one of the oldest textile fibres there is. Our grey djellaba is made from a linen blend.

How linen wears

Linen feels cool against the skin and absorbs moisture well, which is why people like wearing it when it’s warm. Its surface is slightly irregular, and that’s how you recognise it straight away.

Linen creases quickly. That’s part of it, and it gets softer with every wash.

Our linen blend

For the djellaba we blend linen with viscose and polyester. The linen brings the texture and the cool feel, and the viscose makes the fabric softer. The polyester gives it structure so the djellaba keeps its shape. It’s made in Morocco.

Care

Wash the djellaba on a delicate cycle at no more than 30 °C and spin it at low speed only. Don’t put it in the dryer. It’s best to hang it up while it’s still damp, and many creases will smooth out on their own.
